If you are unable to charge your electric vehicle at home, use our interactive map to suggest a potential electric vehicle charging location.
Any suggestions provided are not a guarantee but will help to inform the rollout of our EV chargepoints.'
SWARCO
To use a chargepoint you need to follow the instructions at the SWARCO website. The SWARCO chargepoints cost 60 pence per kWh.

- Elphinstone car park, available 24 hours, cost for parking (7kWh)
- Plymstock Broadway car park, available 24 hours, cost for parking free parking overnight (22kWh).
- Plympton Mudge Way car park, available 24 hours, free parking (22kWh).
Pod Point
To use a chargepoint you need to register your details with Pod Point. You can register or download the app from the Pod Point website or phone 020 7247 4114.

The Pod Point chargepoints cost 60 pence per kWh - which is payable until you unplug your vehicle even after it's fully charged.

- Milehouse park and ride - 24 hours, free parking (7kw)
- Mutley Plain (Napier Terrace) car park – Chargepoint is on middle deck.

- Western Approach car park- 6am to midnight, cost for parking (22kw)
Connect Plymouth
As part of the Connect Plymouth initiative, Plymouth will have over 300 charging bays across 50 different locations. These include rapid (50kW) and ultra-rapid (100kW) charge points provided by Wenea.

Connected Kerb
To use a chargepoint you need to follow the instructions at the Connected Kerb website. The Connected Kerb chargepoints cost 50 pence per kWh.
- North Hill car park - available 24 hours, parking charges apply (7kW)
- West Park car park - available 24 hours, 3 hours free parking, no return within 2 hours (7kW)
- St Johns Road car park - available 24 hours, (7kW).

- City College Plymouth - 6am to 11pm, free parking (7kw) - Contact City College Plymouth for any enquiries
- Cumberland Centre, available 24 hours, free parking (7kw)
- Mount Gould Hospital, available 24 hours, free parking (22kw)
- Thornberry Centre, available 24 hours, free parking (7kw)
- Derriford Hospital Bircham Park car park (level 3), available 24 hours, cost for parking (7kw).
These are PAYG with the fee set by the individual landowner.
EV chargepoint grant
The EV chargepoint grant provides funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle smart chargepoints at domestic properties across the UK.

Workplace Charging Scheme
Employers can claim 75% of purchase and installation costs, up to a maximum of £500 for each socket, up to a maximum of 20 across all sites for each applicant.

Chargepoints in Plymouth
You can charge your electric vehicle at pay as you go chargepoints in Plymouth. The chargepoints are either 7kw or 22kw mode three twin head chargepoints using type two connectors (not provided) and were funded by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles. Most vehicles will be fully charged in three to five hours.
