Efford Marsh is a Local Nature Reserve located in the east of Plymouth between the A38 and Efford. This site covers 28 hectares (that's around 28 full-sized football pitches) and is a place where you can relax, walk, play and explore nature.
Efford Marsh has a variety of meadows, woodlands and marshland which drain into the River Plym.
Wildlife
The site provides a valuable landscape and biodiversity resource for the area.
Species we've spotted include:
- Bluebell, wood anemone and wild garlic
- Badger
- Plymouth Pear
- Fringed water-lily

- Don't disturb animals
- Take your litter home
- Keep dogs under control
- Keep dogs out of the stream area
- Clean up after your dogs
- No camping
- No motorbikes
- No fires

- Steps and steep slopes at most entrances
Travel and directions
- 1km from Torridge Way shops
- Cycle route runs immediately south of the reserve joining Pike Road
- Accessible using public transport with bus stops along Blandford Road and Deer Park Road to the west of the reserve
- No official car park (some car parking available on nearby roads)
