You can only appeal a decision we have made about an application to cut down or carry out work on a protected tree if you made the application and its been refused.
You must appeal within 28 days of the date on the decision notice (there's no deadline if you are appealing because your application was not decided within eight weeks) and before the date the tree replacement notice comes into effect.
How to appeal
Return the completed form (with a copy of the decision notice and any other documents that supports your appeal) to The Environment Appeals Team, Trees and Hedges, Room 3/25 Hawk Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6PN.
Once your appeal is validated, you will normally get a decision within 27 weeks.
